MY VANITY : 5 BLOGS THAT I LIKE (NOW) !

During the last week, I moved all the blogs that I had written since 2003 to this blog. It was a bit like disposing off old stuff ! It brought back memories of travels made, movies seen and of cricket matches watched ! I started blogging way back in 2003 and yet, it doesn't feel that long actually !

One part of me (the rational, logical part) says that for want of nothing better to do, I have spent a lot of (un?!)necessary time writing stuff that is not required. The vain part of me says that the blogs reflect my thoughts and opinions and hence they reflect me - to the extent that my writing can convey my thoughts. I rather like this vain part of me !!

So, here are a few blogs that I have written which I still continue to like, in ascending order of preference ! Note: These blogs are my selection now, but there are other blogs that I like as well. It is quite likely that my preference will change tomorrow !

5.) http://fewidlethoughts.blogspot.in/2003/05/note-i-had-originally-written-this-blog.html: This was my first blog and hence is special to me - enough said ! Also, I am an ardent Trekkie, i.e. Star Trek fan. This blog brings it out.
4.) http://fewidlethoughts.blogspot.in/2012/05/what-is-recession.html: I was genuinely curious about the meaning of recession. The research I did satisfied me.
3.) http://fewidlethoughts.blogspot.in/2005/02/bullah-ki-jaana-by-rabbi.html: A music video led me to the Internet to understand more about the song.
2.) http://fewidlethoughts.blogspot.in/2005/03/review-of-black-movie.html: "Black" is an inspiring movie, filled with stirring performances and it is as much a director's movie as the actors'. I find that I still like my review of the movie, since it contains how the colour and water represent hope and the past !
1.) http://fewidlethoughts.blogspot.in/2005/05/television-medium.html: This blog is my defense of television as a medium. I like the link provided to the dialogue between Socrates and Phaedrus, which is insightful. It is one of the few blogs where I have expressed an opinion. Incidentally, I continue to hold the opinion even now : any medium cannot be responsible for the content it conveys.

When I read the blogs, I notice that they still feel rather amateurish to me. It is only the top 2 blogs that satisfy me to a large extent, as of now.
